These are A5 length ( 7.75" internal depth) buffer tubes, made from 7075 T6 aluminum. They are 6 position and milspec diameter ( 1.14"). You will need to use a rifle length buffer spring
On AR308s these will allow the use of standard 3.25" AR15 buffers or 2.5" 308 carbine buffers + .75" external buffer weight.
On rifle caliber AR15s, these will allow the use of 4" A5 buffer/PCC buffer or a 3.25" AR15 carbine buffer + .75" external buffer weight
