    AR22LR - TRIP

Posted by Joseph Hayes on Oct 5th 2025

the 22lr conversions have a lot of issues, I have one of the first CMMG units, its phosphate coated and old. I expected a lot of tinkering to get this trip to work. I first tried the tight fitting lever with no luck, swapped out the lever two are supplied and fit the cam differently. It worked very well, even though I for got to install the magazine shim and pressure plug. Usually it will not work very well without them. they had been removed for cleaning as 22lr gets nasty. I can report that it actually shot great with no modifications to the trip or lever, I also used a Greymarketresearch cam that was purchased earlier. I would definitely recommend, and buy again, everything I have purchased from them has worked great.

    Not bad

*** Updated review*** The trip did have some rough edges that needed sanded. I was initially getting an issue with early hammer drop so I shortened the trip bar and it now runs sometimes. Attempting to find a ammo that runs best. Also going to try a spring kit and a upgraded firing pin.
